Passengers of Koleje Dolnośląskie can now buy tickets using their mobile phones, using the SkyCash mobile application. The solution is free and gives access to a whole range of additional services, such as paying for parking, buying tickets for public transport or withdrawing cash from ATMs.
The SkyCash application, made available to Koleje Dolnośląskie passengers, is a quick way to buy a train ticket using a mobile phone, without having to count change or stand in a queue at a ticket office. The transaction, which lasts a dozen or so seconds, can be completed anywhere, 24 hours a day, and ticket prices are the same as at traditional points of sale. SkyCash also allows you to use all discounts and concessions applicable on specific lines.
The application allows you to buy single tickets for all domestic connections operated by Koleje Dolnośląskie. Simply select one of the available connections, then specify the starting and ending station on the train route and the departure time. The last step is to select the payment source and confirm the transaction. You can also make a purchase using a payment card, without having to remember to regularly top up SkyCash with cash. The payment for the tickets is then collected directly from the passenger's bank account.
During the inspection, it is enough to show the ticket to the conductor, which after purchase is automatically saved in the "Tickets for inspection" tab. The passenger has constant access to it, even if there is no Internet connection at the moment.
Tickets for train journeys by the Lower Silesian carrier are yet another SkyCash service available in the region. The application operates in Wrocław, among others, where it can be used to pay for parking, buy public transport tickets and cinema tickets. Other services provided by SkyCash include cash withdrawals from ATMs, topping up prepaid phones, transfers between friends and buying cinema tickets.
