The Warsaw Paid Parking Zone (SPPN) is an area where you pay for parking Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 20:00 p.m. This is where you'll encounter the famous white e-control vehicles with roof-mounted cameras that scan license plates faster than you can check the time.
What exactly is SPPN?
This isn't a guarded parking lot—it's a fee for public space. In Warsaw, the system relies on your license plate number. You don't have to run to the parking meter, because with Skycash, your car "checks in" digitally in the system in a fraction of a second.
What are the hours of operation of the zone?
The zone doesn't end with the Palace of Culture. Paid parking is now in effect throughout almost all of Śródmieście, including Wola, Mokotów, Ochota, and Żoliborz. You can't avoid it on the Praga side either – Praga-Północ and Praga-Południe (especially Saska Kępa and Kamionek) are under heavy scrutiny.

December 24th (Christmas Eve) is traditionally a toll-free day in the Warsaw zone. The same applies to other official public holidays.

Just remember that this rule doesn't apply to private parking lots (e.g., those in front of office buildings or shopping malls) – the meter there is usually running 24/7.
Do I need to have a Skycash sticker on my windshield?
