Motorway Tolls in Poland 2024. What can drivers expect?

In 2024, drivers in Poland can still count on free motorway travel, although some fees will remain unchanged. Here's the current situation on the most important routes.

Free A2 Motorway – (Stryków – Konin) e-Toll System.

On the 100-kilometer section of the A2 Stryków–Konin, drivers can still enjoy free travel, but only for vehicles weighing up to 3,5 tons. The e-Toll system will still be in force, but light vehicles will receive relief without the need for additional formalities.

Free A4 Motorway – No Tolls for Passenger Cars.

On the 162-kilometer section of the A4 Wrocław – Sośnica managed by GDDKiA, there will be no tolls for passenger cars and vehicle combinations weighing up to 3,5 tons. This relief does not require any additional actions on the part of drivers. E-Toll will detect the vehicle entering the section, but will not collect a fee or issue a penalty to the driver.

Free A1 Motorway – Continuation of Privileges.

The government has confirmed that the A1 Rusocin – Toruń section will remain free for two-axle vehicles up to 3,5 tonnes and for motorcycles. Despite maintaining the free route, drivers still need to obtain a ticket or authorize entry using a vision system, generating a so-called zero ticket, for which the Operator – AmberGO, will not charge a fee.

Toll Motorway A2 Konin – Świecko.

The A2 Konin – Świecko motorway, managed by Autostrada Wielkopolska, will unfortunately not become free in 2024. Although relief remains a dream, drivers must expect to pay fees, which can be particularly painful considering the price of driving on this section.

No Toll Relief on the A4 Katowice – Kraków Motorway.

The A4 Katowice – Kraków section managed by Stalexport will not see the toll removed in 2024. The government's lack of decision to abolish toll collection means that drivers will still be obliged to pay them.

How to efficiently cross highways without standing at toll booths?

Motorways in SkyCash is a service that provides mobile payment support for tolled, private motorway sections. Thanks to our payment solutions, users can conveniently use the video tolling system, which involves automatic recognition of license plates - without the need to stand at the gates and collect a cardboard ticket. Simply activate the Motorways service in the SkyCash application to forget about queues on the motorway and searching for a wallet. The video tolling system, peaks the registration numbers and if the section on which the driver is traveling is not subject to payment - it issues a so-called zero ticket.
