Poznań drivers can now pay for parking using the SkyCash mobile payment system. This means they don't have to deal with such nuisances,
such as counting change, looking for a parking meter or having to return to the vehicle just to put a parking ticket behind the window. Another significant convenience is the ability to extend parking remotely, which eliminates the need to predict the parking time and return to the car to make an additional payment, e.g. during a long shopping trip or a business meeting.
The solution is already successfully operating in dozens of cities, including Warsaw, Krakow, Wroclaw and Lodz. Its additional distinguishing feature is access to the professional mobiParking Flota service addressed to companies, which provides convenient monitoring and settlement of business transactions. Instead of collecting dozens of parking tickets, companies can settle expenses based on a single, collective financial document.
To pay for parking using your mobile phone, simply launch SkyCash, go to the mobiParking tab and choose one of the three available parking methods: for a specified time, for a selected amount or in the Start-Stop system, with the option to stop charging at any time. The next steps are to select from the list or enter the vehicle registration number and confirm the payment with a 4-digit PIN code. A great convenience for drivers is the ability to instantly top up SkyCash using a payment card connected to the system. The account can also be topped up in many other ways, e.g. by instant transfer on the www.skycash.com website, by bank transfer or simply by borrowing funds from another system user.
Mobile payments for parking are another SkyCash service that can be used in Poznań. Since October 2012, residents have been able to use the application to buy tickets for Koleje Wielkopolskie journeys, and since September 2013, also tickets for public transport. The application also provides access to many other services, such as quick transfers between users, prepaid phone top-ups, payments for household bills, cash withdrawals from ATMs or buying cinema tickets.
