Thanks to Skycash, you're saving time again. Starting December 23rd, you can drive through the AmberOne A1 Motorway toll booths without queuing. How is this possible?
The Skycash Autostrady service is a mobile payment system based on automatic license plate recognition. After a one-time activation of the service in the app, drivers can pass through dedicated toll gates without stopping in line for a toll collector. The system identifies the license plate number, collects the fee from the Skycash account, and raises the barrier.
How to activate the service?
On the main screen of the application, select the MOTORWAYS tile. There you should add the vehicles you want to use on the selected motorway. You can activate a vehicle that is already added to the mobiParking service or enter the details of another car. The most important information that will be required is the registration number, vehicle category and the indication of the payment source. After accepting the service regulations, it will be activated, about which you will receive an e-mail confirmation.
Where to use?
The Skycash Autostrady service supports mobile payments on the AmberOne toll sections of the A1 Motorway (Gdańsk–Toruń), the A4 Motorway Katowice–Kraków, as well as the A2 Stryków–Konin and A4 Wrocław–Sośnica sections managed by the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA) via the e-TOLL system. On the A1 section between Rusocin and Nowa Wieś, passengers and drivers don't have to queue at toll gates—the toll is collected automatically. As a reminder, tolls on the concession section of the A1 will be reintroduced on January 1, 2025, after a two-year exemption for passenger cars and motorcycles.
How to use?
In fact, you don't need to do anything if the service is already activated. You don't even need to have your phone with you when entering the motorway. Remember, you can use any toll gate, as AmberGo payments using the Skycash app work at all AmberOne toll gates on the A1 Motorway, alongside traditional payment methods. A huge advantage, however, are the toll gates dedicated exclusively to automatic payments. On the A1, these are marked with a crossed-out ticket symbol on entry gates, and with a crossed-out collector symbol and the AmberGo logo on exit gates. If you're using dedicated toll gates, remember to slow down and approach the barrier slowly. Once your license plate number is recognized, the light will turn green, and the barrier will rise. Have a safe journey!
