SkyCash with one million transactions per month

The popularity of the SkyCash mobile application is growing dynamically. Skycash reached the threshold of half a million transactions per month in September last year, and already in June this year a record was registered in the form of a symbolic 1 million transactions. The last 2 years have been a period of the fastest development in the history of the company.

The largest number of transactions – almost 40% – are parking payments, which are already available in 48 cities throughout Poland. SkyCash offers the most convenient method of paying for parking: it allows you to pay only for the actual parking time, without looking for change, queues at the parking meter and time-consuming entering the car's registration number. The solution is used by both private users and companies with fleets of vehicles. The system gives the latter constant access to information on parking costs and allows for collective settlement of parking of all company cars.

Public transport tickets are also becoming increasingly popular among SkyCash users. In Warsaw alone, passengers buy over 100 of them per month. In 12 out of 39 cities where the system operates, you can buy not only single and time-limited tickets, but also periodic tickets, including monthly ones. This option is available to residents of such a large agglomeration as Szczecin.

– Exceeding the threshold of one million mobile transactions is the result of the natural demand for convenient and fast everyday payments – says Tomasz Krajewski, CEO of SkyCash. – The popularity of our application will continue to grow rapidly, because people who practically grew up with phones in their hands are entering the consumer age – adds Krajewski.

An increasing number of transactions made via the app are payments for train tickets, which SkyCash has been handling since 2011. The first carrier to use the system was Koleje Mazowieckie. Today, tickets from most carriers (including Intercity and Przewozy Regionalne) can be purchased via the app, with a combined market share in terms of the number of passengers served amounting to around 90 percent.

SkyCash was created from the very beginning as a universal solution, offering a platform for payments for various, complementary services. The first to appear in the application were transfers to a telephone number, which were soon joined by, among others, public transport tickets, cash withdrawals from ATMs, GSM top-ups, payments for parking and cinema tickets. Currently, the company is working on further services and developing a network of business partners.
