In Oświęcim, you can now pay for parking using your mobile phone, using the free SkyCash application and the mobiParking service.
Using the application is very simple. The driver starts SkyCash on the phone, opens the mobiParking – Oświęcim city tab and selects one of three parking methods: for time, for a fee or Start/Stop, with the option to stop charging the fee at any chosen time. Now all you need to do is confirm the operation by tapping the “Start parking” button. The fee for parking is collected from the electronic wallet, which can be topped up in many ways, including immediately, using a payment card connected to SkyCash or the Przelewy24 service. Before using mobiParking, the vehicle must be marked with a free identifier in the form of a sticker for the window. It can be obtained at the Oświęcim City Hall at ul. Zaborska 2.
The ID is also available as a printable file that can be downloaded from the SkyCash website. People who do not have it can place a regular piece of paper with the handwritten word "mobiParking" behind their window.
The app has a few other useful features, such as the ability to check how long a stopover lasts and how much money has been spent since it began. If a driver adds several cars to the app (e.g. private and company), they can give each of them an optional name. The side menu, on the other hand, lets you quickly read additional information (e.g. about the city's tariff) and top up the account from which the stopover fees are charged.
