Important information for drivers in Warsaw. SkyCash and mobiParking app users can pay for parking in Warsaw until at least April 30 this year.
The Warsaw Municipal Road Authority has signed an agreement with SkyCash Poland SA, the current mobile payment operator in the Paid Parking Zone. As a result, until the end of April 2019, users of the SkyCash and mobiParking applications can pay for parking in Warsaw without any changes.
SkyCash Poland SA remains the exclusive operator of mobile payments for parking in Warsaw until the new tender announced by ZDM in November 2018 is resolved. The appeal procedure is currently underway before the National Chamber of Appeal.
At the same time, we would like to correct the false information that has appeared in the media regarding the price and reasons for announcing a new tender in Warsaw. It is not true that the tender was organized in connection with the increase in fees by SkyCash.
The Municipal Road Authority has announced a new tender after the end of a 3-year contract with SkyCash. The requirements of the new tender have been changed and include the obligation to provide card payments for parking in the zone and the need to confirm each start and end of parking by SMS. External costs related to these requirements affect the amount of fees proposed in the tender.
